Division Manager - Electrical Design/Build - Houston, TX
The Division Manager will be accountable for the success of the leading office for this Design/Build Electrical contractor. This includes ensuring efficient operations, achieving or surpassing financial goals, cultivating a positive workplace, and prioritizing customer satisfaction. The Division Manager will also be responsible for leading and developing their team, aligning divisional objectives with the company's overall strategy, and adhering to industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Safety and Compliance: Oversee safety practices, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Team Management: Lead a productive team, develop their skills, and foster a positive work environment.
- Financial Performance: Achieve or exceed revenue and profit targets, aligned with regional goals.
- Customer Satisfaction: Prioritize customer needs, exceed expectations, and maintain a high satisfaction rating.
- Associate Development: Coach and mentor associates for growth and engagement within the organization.
- Fair and Honest Practices: Maintain a culture of fairness and honesty in employee interactions.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Strategic Planning: Set measurable goals and implement strategies to achieve them.
- Team Building and Sales: Develop self-sufficient technician teams to increase sales and profits.
- Company Alignment: Foster collaboration and alignment with other branches, departments, and corporate officers.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure electrical work meets code standards and company vehicles/equipment are well-maintained.
- Financial Management: Prepare and manage the division's annual budget.
- Sales Growth: Increase sales, maintain estimate and margin guidelines, and select/train effective team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree: Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating and project management for commercial projects, including large-scale projects from concept to completion.
- Computer Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Construction Software: Experience with Accubid and other construction management software.
- Design Software: Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Stability: Demonstrated employment stability.
