Vice President of Data Centers - Electrical Design / Build - Houston, TX
Gryphon Oakwood are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President to lead our newly formed Data Center Electrical Construction division. This is a critical leadership role responsible for the strategic growth and operational success of the division, overseeing all aspects from business development and preconstruction to project execution and client relationship management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the data center construction market, with a strong understanding of electrical systems, project management, and client relationship building.
Responsibilities :
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement the strategic vision for the Data Center Construction division, aligning with overall company objectives. Identify and pursue new market opportunities and develop strategies for sustainable growth.
- Business Development : Lead business development efforts, including identifying, pursuing, and securing data center projects. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Preconstruction Oversight : Oversee the preconstruction process, ensuring accurate estimating, value engineering, and constructability reviews. Collaborate with the preconstruction team to develop competitive bids and proposals.
- Project Execution : Oversee all aspects of project execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Monitor project performance, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Team Leadership : Build and lead a high-performing team of project managers, engineers, and field personnel. Provide mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities to team members.
- Financial Management : Manage the financial performance of the division, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Client Relationship Management : Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeding their expectations.
- Safety & Compliance : Champion a strong safety culture within the division, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Market Intelligence : Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape in the data center market.
