Your primary responsibility would involve efficiently coordinating pickups and deliveries of containers, liaising closely with our Freight Services Coordinators, generating comprehensive reports, and engaging in daily interactions with our valued clients.
Your responsibilities will involve, but not be limited to, efficiently routing subhaulers, scheduling pickup and delivery appointments, managing customer container pools, updating the Terminal Management System, and monitoring driver performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to be flexible as priorities will constantly be changing. At the same time, you continue to balance your other daily tasks!
- A self-starter and assertive in bringing issues to management. We will be counting on you to identify trouble situations before they become real problems.
- Moderate Excel proficiency, encompassing data entry, basic spreadsheet creation, and navigation of essential functions for effective data management.
- Responding to various client inquiries and requests regarding container status and billing.
- Generating daily and weekly reports for both client distribution and internal use.
- Gain understanding of the role; this role may also be asked to pitch in for other clients when things get busy, or others are out of the office.
- You bring to the table a wealth of expertise with two years of hands-on experience in the import, export, and transportation sectors.
- You are proficient in at least one TMS (Transportation Management System) (“Trinium” preferred).
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, managers, and subhaulers to address any escalated issues.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Preferably two years of experience in Transportation Support (Dispatch) or a related industry is required.
- Knowledge of Container or Port/LTL experience is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in at least one Transportation Management System (TMS) is essential, with preference given to experience with "Trinium."
- Possess exceptional attention to detail to ensure precise execution of tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Familiarity with trucking terminology to facilitate efficient communication.
- Excellent organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Outlook.

JOB DETAILS:
The Client Service Coordinator position is a full-time, Monday - Friday position. The hours for this role are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

GSC Transport provides a medical insurance package for its regular full-time employees, including optional coverage for their spouses and dependents.
