GSI is seeking a Senior Sustainability Auditor with expertise in sustainability auditing. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and expanding GSI's corporate sustainability strategy services. A CPA or Lead GHG Verifier Accreditation, along with significant experience in sustainability auditing, is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a critical role in developing GSI’s sustainability auditing service.
- Responsible for providing auditing support or lead auditing support on corporate engagements.
- Collaboratively create internal standard operating procedures for conducting assurance engagements
- Training and overseeing of junior staff to adhere to standard operating procedures in conducting assurance engagements
- Collaborating with GSI management in developing verification/validation plans, risk-based sampling plans, conducting auditing calculations and data analytics, and communicating findings to clients through meetings and/or findings logs.
- Manage internal recordkeeping policies for engagements.
- Demonstrates strong people management skills; particularly the ability to support, coach and celebrate others to advance employee engagement and achieve results.
- Mentors junior staff in the proper planning and execution of projects, and in directing or conducting independent technical reviews of deliverable work products.
- Manages a team of two to five junior consultants.
- Identifies, evaluates, cultivates and manages partnerships and relationships with senior clients, external stakeholders and key opinion leaders.
- Effectively collaborates internally to bring our services to existing clients.
- Enhance GSI’s capability to support sales and delivery of Climate and Sustainability services.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Technical degree in science, accounting, business, or engineering
- 5-7 years of experience in conducing limited and reasonable level assurance engagements focused mainly on corporate auditing.
- Extensive experience in auditing under various protocols including but not limited to ISO14064-3 and IAASB ISSA 5000.
- Experience engaging cross functional teams to solve problems.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in translating highly technical information for a non-technical audience through workshops and presentations.
