Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated early-career hydrogeologist/water resources engineer to support our water resources team on a wide variety of projects, including regional hydrologic studies, water supply development, well drilling, well rehabilitation, aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) program development, and water resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee field explorations and construction projects
- Collect and document hydrogeologic data; such as soil, water, and geologic samples
- Write field reports and participate in data analysis and report production and compilation
- Research literature and historical information
- Complete routine technical analyses with supervision
- Deliver work products for projects involving basin analyses; aquifer characterization; well design, construction oversight, and testing; ASR and AR feasibility studies and program support; and well rehabilitation
- May participate in project management tasks such as project budgeting and proposal writing
Requirements:
- Ability to obtain a professional registration/license as geologist or hydrogeologist or professional engineer in California
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS degree in geology, water resource engineering, natural resources planning, hydrogeology, or a closely related field
- Familiarity with scope and budget development, budget tracking, and client communication
- Familiarity with numerical techniques, including well hydraulics, groundwater flow, and wellfield simulations (including capture zone analysis)
