Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field explorations and construction projects.
- Collect and document hydrogeologic data; such as soil, water, and geologic samples.
- Write field reports and participate in data analysis and report production and compilation.
- Research literature and historical information.
- Complete routine technical analyses with supervision.
- Deliver work products for projects involving basin analyses; aquifer characterization; well design, construction oversight, and testing; aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) and aquifer recharge (AR) feasibility studies and program support; and well rehabilitation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in geology, water resource engineering, natural resources planning, hydrogeology, or a closely related field.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in groundwater supply and/or water resource management projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mastery of numerical techniques, including well hydraulics, groundwater flow, and wellfield simulations (including capture zone analysis).
- Familiarity with scope and budget development, budget tracking, and client communication.
- Knowledgeable about the geology of the Pacific Northwest and California.
