This is for a newly created role in GSK’s new oligo biology group. We are building a team of scientists to lay the groundwork necessary to support GSK’s internal oligo screening platform. Key Responsibilities
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following…
- Be able to plan and conduct high throughput oligo screens (96 well and 384 well) aided by automated liquid handlers for GSK oligo portfolio
- Optimize conditions and maintain various cell lines, and work with primary cells (liver, lung, CNS), as well as iPSC-derived cell models
- Establish and Run protein analysis experiments using Western blots and ELISAs
- Isolate and handle RNA for use in downstream assays such as qPCR and sequencing
- Build and maintain relationships with other team leads
- Organize, analyze, and present data across teams
- Help establish workflows and SOPs for developing team
- Potential to serve as oligo lead on project teams
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Masters with 5 years of experience in Biology, biotechnology and related fields
- Experience working in a biopharma environment and have a record of past success.
- Experience with cell culture, RNA and protein handling skills, high throughput 96/384 well screening.
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Ph.D with 3 years’ experience in Molecular biology
- A working knowledge of data analytics is a plus
- Familiarity with ddPCR is a plus
- Experience with automated liquid handlers is a plus
- Familiarity with cell imaging, FACS analysis, RNA sequencing technologies, management experience
