SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN.
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) to support student development.
- Support the class teacher in managing classroom activities and resources.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage student engagement and promote independence in learning.
- Assist with personal care and emotional well-being as required.
- Experience working with children with SEN as an SEN Teaching Assistant is highly desirable.
- A CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting students.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
