GSL Electric maintains its focus in electrical contracting in commercial, industrial, multi-family residential, design-build engineering services, low voltage systems, and special projects.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble bids up to half of a million dollars, typically with electrical and low voltage scopes.
- Job walks with customers to help review the scope of work and customer needs.
- Develop accurate cost estimates and identify risk items, questions and deficiencies from the contract documents and job walk assessments.
- Work with Department Supervisor to assess viability of projects for the company.
- Read and interpret plans and other documents.
- Conduct Bid Review presentations with management prior to submission.
Requirements:

- Prior experience bidding all types of electrical work is required (1-3 years of experience is ideal).
- Knowledge of NEC. Must have a good understanding of NECA rates and how the labor rates are established in Accubid.
- Completed Apprenticeship training program and/or Journeyman license. Journeyman level knowledge of means/methods of installation required.
- High level of proficiency in Accubid/Livecount is desired, software based estimating experience is required.
- Advanced level knowledge and use of Bluebeam, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word is required.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong math and analytical skills, with sharp attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to be an effective leader and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to successfully complete drug screen.
