Crane Operator/Millwright Position
We are seeking a Crane Operator/Millwright at GSM Industrial, a regional leader in industrial fabrication, installation and mechanical contracting. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing both industrial lifting operations and mechanical installation/fabrication tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate swing cab truck cranes to support agricultural and industrial lifting needs
- Provide crane support to multiple locations, including job sites throughout the region
- Perform general millwright and fabrication work, including welding, mechanical installation, equipment rigging, maintenance of equipment, and structural fit-up
Requirements:
- Valid PA Crane Operator License
- Swing Cab Crane Certification (NCCCO or equivalent)
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 2 years of crane operation experience in construction or industrial environments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, load charts, and rigging diagrams
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification required
- Proficient in welding techniques (GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, etc.) preferred
- Mechanically inclined and experienced with field installations and construction sites
- Capable of lifting 75 lbs. and working at heights and in variable weather
- Independent decision-making skills with sound judgment in the field
- Customer-focused attitude and clear communication with project teams
- Flexible and dependable for varied job schedules and on-site requirements
Working Conditions:
- Frequent travel to regional job sites with occasional overnight stays
- Overtime, weekends, and early morning start times are common depending on job needs
- Work involves outdoor exposure and physically demanding tasks
