What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Clerk position at GSM Metals, Inc?
The main functions are receiving, transferring, transacting, and balancing all material purchase orders.
Essential Functions:
RECEIVING:
- Physically weigh, count and record the receipt of all metal receipts and distribute to appropriate department. (Mill & Jewelry).
- Confirm all specfic Metal Receipts to specific customer
- Inventory control software (JMAS) transact all PO Return & PO’s.
- Create all Vendor Toll Reconciliations to balance PO Returns & POs
- Physically weigh, transfer & transact in JMAS all transfers from Mill to Jewelry (INTJ Work Orders)
- Copy all Assays for Incoming material
- Receive & distribute all non-material receipts.
Miscellaneous
- Assist with the Physical Inventory process
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve any receiving-related issues.
- Various duties as assigned.
Safety
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures when handling materials and operating equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in safety training and contribute to a safe workplace culture.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
