The Payroll (Self Determination) Support Specialist or SDSS is a representative of GT Independence who ensures paychecks are calculated accurately and efficiently by following departmental procedures and adhering to agency requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Accurately and efficiently perform all steps of the payroll process which includes the following:
- Timesheet Reviewing
- Time Tracking
- Proofing & Posting
- Disbursements
- Reviewing overlap and overtime reports
- Accurately and efficiently complete payroll checklists for assigned agencies. Resolve any discrepancies that may exist in the document.
- Work with team leader to identify strategies for reducing errors that appear on the weekly OAR report.
- Collaborate with the staff to resolve rejected timesheet issues and reduce out-of-cycle payroll disbursements (RFP’s)
- Completes administrative tasks such as filing, copying, data entry, etc...
- Maintains confidentiality of records relating to clients
- Identifies opportunities to improve our processes
- Upholds company values and mission
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and terminology
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective decision-making skills
- Ability to plan and organize daily work to meet deadlines
- Strong ability to participate on a highly effective team.
