At GTCC, you'll be part of a supportive, dynamic, and inclusive culture committed to delivering exceptional results, making it a truly amazing place to work and thrive.The Director of Adult Education in collaboration with the Dean of Adult Education provides the vision and leadership required to realize the mission of all Adult Education programs to include Adult Basic Education (ABE), Adult Secondary Education (ASE), and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Primary administrative responsibilities include recruiting, hiring and supervising part time faculty; recruiting, retaining, supervising and supporting ABE/ASE and/or ESOL students; creating course schedules; and creating and amending instructor contracts. Instructional responsibilities include teaching students effectively and evaluating and mentoring instructors to ensure quality instruction. The Director of Adult Education is expected to teach at least one class per semester and facilitate new student orientation.
