Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator/Asst. Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of construction management principles and possess strong project management skills. You will work closely with senior project managers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate communication and ensure project success.
Responsibilities
- Review all documents in the bid package.
- Preform cut/fill and pipe takeoffs.
- Assist in preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Utilize software tools such as Insite and Smart Construction for project documentation and cost estimation.
- Monitor project progress and performance, implementing cost control measures as necessary.
- Prepare and review contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress, quality of work, and safety compliance on construction sites.
- Support negotiations with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field is preferred, but will train the right candidate.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and management practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management software; experience with Insite and Smart Construction is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Must be proficient with Outlook, Excel and Word.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong negotiation skills is desirable.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
