GTG Peterbilt – Wichita and GTG Peterbilt - Great Bend, are premier providers of quality products and services to commercial equipment users. Grask Truck Group, Inc., an Iowa based Peterbilt truck dealer with locations in Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Waterloo and Quincy, Illinois acquired Doonan Truck & Equipment in January 2023. With this acquisition, Grask Truck Group (GTG Peterbilt) added stores in Wichita, Great Bend and Hays, Kansas nearly doubling their size of operation in the Midwest. Customers will notice an increased product line and improved customer resources and convenience with the addition of these three locations.
GTG Peterbilt has an immediate opening for an IT Support Specialist based out of our Wichita or Great Bend, KS locations, also providing support and traveling when needed to our location in Hays, KS.
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for performing remote and desk-side hardware/software support for our dealer group. Diagnose, implement and trouble shoot hardware and software including but not limited to Rack infrastructure, network cabling, Network and printer troubleshooting, operating systems, Office applications, 3rd party applications, and computer operations. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with an emphasis on teamwork and the ability to see the big picture on the success of the business.
- Provide end user support in a timely, courteous, and professional manner to our dealer body.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, support hardware, software, operating systems, and applications.
- Provide support for all departments and locations for projects involving information technology.
- Create/Enable/Disable user accounts per procedure for new hire and terminated users on all systems.
- Maintain accurate records and follow established policies and procedures.
- Support desktop and laptop refresh operations.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Assist with Cyber Security training of end users.
- Maintain and support audio/visual technologies as needed.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, and fleet customers.
- Able to work some Saturdays and some evenings as needed.
- Must be willing to perform light travel to other sites periodically.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of networking technology and concepts.
- Ability to gain, understand, and apply knowledge from technical manuals.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Must be able to lift, carry, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Must have a willingness to learn.
Education:
- Minimum of Associates degree in Information Technology (preferred).
- A Certification (preferred).
- Network Certification (preferred).
- Driver’s license (required).
- Combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
