Our client is seeking a Director of Technical Product Delivery to lead a dynamic team and drive the successful execution of complex software development initiatives. This role requires a strategic leader with hands-on experience in managing custom-built software solutions, balancing technical execution with business priorities, and fostering a high-performance environment.

Position Overview:

The Director of Technical Product Delivery will be responsible for overseeing the project management function, ensuring alignment between business objectives, functional teams, and key stakeholders. This individual will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, scalable technological solutions that support the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of product delivery professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee a portfolio of complex, high-impact projects and optimize resource allocation to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive project plans, managing scope, timelines, risks, and dependencies to achieve business objectives.
• Drive Agile methodologies, refining priorities, identifying risks, and maintaining a continuous feedback loop with stakeholders.
• Own and execute the product roadmap, translating business goals into well-defined technical requirements and user stories.
• Balance stakeholder requirements with engineering feasibility, ensuring efficient execution and quality delivery.
• Work closely with engineering teams to break down complex goals into executable action plans, instilling urgency while maintaining strategic balance.
• Define and implement go-to-market strategies, ensuring seamless collaboration across product management, marketing, and sales teams.
• Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities effectively to C-suite executives and technical teams alike.
• Act as a hands-on leader, capable of stepping into the details when necessary, ensuring technical teams are aligned with business expectations.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience:
• Minimum 10 years in project management, business analysis, product ownership, or systems design.
• At least 5 years in a leadership/management role.
• Strong background in managing custom software development projects.
• Technical Acumen:
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies and tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Oracle-based backends.
• Experience overseeing cloud migration strategies, particularly with AWS.
• Ability to elicit and translate business requirements into actionable development plans.
• Leadership & Soft Skills:
• Ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
• Exceptional communication skills—capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• A results-driven mindset with a balanced approach to urgency and patience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in insurance, banking, financial services, or other service-based industries.
• Experience with legacy systems modernization and cloud-based technology roadmaps.
• Certifications in Project Management (PMP, Agile, SAFe) or related fields.
