Overview :
Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating new business opportunities and initiating relationships with potential clients. BDRs play a key role in the sales process by identifying leads, qualifying prospects, and scheduling meetings or demos for the sales team. The position is critical in building the sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential clients using various sources such as social media, online databases, and company directories.
- Generate new leads through cold calling, emailing, networking, and social media outreach.
- Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects.
- Engage with inbound leads to assess their needs and qualify them as potential business opportunities.
- Ask pertinent questions to determine the client’s pain points, budget, and decision-making process.
Set up meetings or calls between qualified prospects and account executives or senior salespeople.
Record all sales activity, lead interactions, and follow-up tasks in CRM software.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and product offerings.
Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs), such as the number of calls made, emails sent, and appointments scheduled.
