Position Responsibilities
Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Programmer develops maintains and generates CMM programs used to inspect and verify production materials and components.
Perform correlation to validate accuracy of program.
Reviews blueprints and specifications to establish correct inspection criteria following best practices.
Qualifications :
Experience : Between 13 years of related experience
Ideal to be proficient with CMM Manager program (Similar to PCDMIS).
Knowledge of ANSI / ASME ISO and GD&T.
The Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Programmer works under moderate supervision.
Visual Acuity : Able to pass Jaeger Test near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine blueprints computer. Able to see color (able to pass one of the following tests : Pseudochromatic plates Dvorine Ishihara Richmond Farnsworth lantern Keystone Orthoscope Titmus vision tester Titmus II Vision Tester Titmus 2 Vision Tester.)
Physical Demands : Stand walks push pulls reach overhead and bend to the floor. Exert up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and / or exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently
Working Conditions : Normally works in an inspection environment. Occasionally the employee is subject to high noise levels from operating machines
