Network Engineer

Hourly / Salary : BOE
Residency Status : US Citizen or Green Card Holder ONLY
The Network Engineer is responsible for full life cycle management of campus, data center, and cloud networks including LAN, WAN, WLAN, network security and associated technologies. In our hybrid working environment, time for this position is split between partially working from home / remotely and being on-site, with a required 4 days in office.
A Day in the Life of a LAN / WAN / WLAN engineer might include :
- Meeting with partner customers to design or re-design networks at a campus building.
- Mentoring and teaching junior network administrators in fulfilling customer requests or troubleshooting.
- Gathering vendor quotes for solutions and developing recommendations for lifecycle management, new builds, or updates.
- Meeting with third parties to design integrations for services, software, or hardware.
- Taking advantage of online training opportunities to grow and develop knowledge and skills.
- Presenting network designs to executive leaders using Visio, PowerPoint, whiteboarding and other tools over video calls or in person.
