Job Summary
As a Travel- Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and support within healthcare settings. Your expertise and compassionate care will contribute significantly to the well-being of patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Assist in patient assessments and care planning
- Perform specialized procedures such as catheter care and dialysis
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Provide care for patients with various conditions including dementia and neonatal ventilator support
- Utilize eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems for documentation
- Demonstrate proficiency in ICD-9 coding for accurate medical records
Skills
- Proficient in patient care techniques and procedures
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Experience with dialysis procedures
- Ability to provide specialized care for patients with dementia
- Competence in using eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems
