We are currently seeking a highly professional individual to join our actuarial team as an Actuarial Assistant. The ideal candidate will be based in or willing to relocate to the Chicagoland area and be able to commute to Glenview, IL.
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team of actuaries and work with a variety of health and life products. In this position, you will gain experience with a variety of actuarial tools and have a meaningful role as a contributor to an everchanging list of valuation, forecasting, and analysis projects. While you hone your hands-on skills, you can also take advantage of our competitive student program to support your progress towards an actuarial designation.
The successful candidate will be exposed to a variety of responsibilities including the following:
- Assist in the preparation and compilation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
- Assist in data reconciliation and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reports.
- Identify and contribute to the enhancement of existing financial reporting processes and procedures.
- Assist in ad-hoc analyses and projects related to financial reporting and analysis.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations relevant to actuarial financial reporting.
- Extract, manipulate, and manage data from various source
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- Proven exam success
- Proficiency with MS Excel
- Ability to effectively communicate with non-actuarial staff

- High level of organization, able to balance multiple priorities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Bonus points if you have:
- Actuarial experience or other insurance industry experience
- Experience working with complex spreadsheets and large databases
- Programming experience
- Experience with actuarial modeling software
