We are currently seeking a highly professional individual to join our Actuarial team as an Actuarial Assistant. The ideal candidate will be based in the Chicagoland area and able to work onsite five days per week in our Glenview, IL office.
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team of actuaries and work with a variety of health and life products. In this position, you will gain experience with a variety of actuarial tools and have a meaningful role as a contributor to an everchanging list of projects, including product development, pricing, and analysis. While you hone your hands-on skills, you can also take advantage of our competitive student program to support your progress towards an actuarial designation.
The successful candidate will be exposed to a variety of responsibilities including the following:
- Support new product development work including pricing analysis and projections, competitive analysis, and sensitivity testing
- Help with rate filings
- Conduct ongoing experience studies
- Develop new and improve existing experience studies & methodologies
- Work with internal stakeholders to react to changes in product experience
- Identify opportunities to improve processes
Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-5 years of relevant actuarial experience
- Proven exam success and working towards ASA designation
- Experience working with complex spreadsheets and large databases
- Proficient with Excel. Experience with SAS or SQL considered a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate with non-actuarial staff

- High level of organization, able to balance multiple priorities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Bonus points if you have:
- Programming experience
- Experience with actuarial modeling software
The pay range provided is not a guarantee of compensation. The range reflects potential pay for the job grade for this role at the time of this posting. Compensation will depend on several factors such as specific competencies, relevant education and experience, qualifications, and industry certifications. Compensation ranges are subject to change and may be higher or lower than the range described above.

Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
