What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Teller position at Guaranty Bank & Trust?
Job Functions:
- Schedule all Teller personnel to maintain proper staffing.
- Assist Tellers with identifying and correcting out-of-balance conditions.
- Ensure that the department has adequate supplies and equipment to accomplish its functions.
- Assist customers with account inquiries and discrepancies and handle customer complaints.
- Perform the duties of a Teller, as needed.
- Assist with the verification and balancing of the branch, vault/safe, ATM and work documents.
- Monitor and review the bank's security procedures and control access to the vault.
- Approve checks for payment that are over the Tellers’ limits within specified authority.
- Supervise branch proof, Teller recap, and reporting.
- Train new hires and conduct remedial Teller training as necessary.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
- Proficient with computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Must have the ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment including copy machine, coin and money counting machines and telephone system.
- Solid organizational and analytical skills with the ability to exercise good judgment consistent with department guidelines.
- Good leadership, training and coaching skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship and communication skills.
- Excellent Math skills.
- Must be flexible to work different schedules as early as 7:15 am and as late as 6:15 pm, and must be able to support Saturday banking hours as needed.
