Position Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist manages resident billing, payments, elderly waiver claims, and complex county payments, ensuring accurate contractual adjustments in a paperless environment. This role prepares and analyzes accounts receivable aging reports, resolves account balances with management, and secures elderly waiver service agreements with counties and Managed Care Providers. Additionally, the Accounts Receivable Specialist processes monthly resident ACH payments, prepares journal entries, supports AR account reconciliations, maintains company registrations and reporting with DHS and Managed Care Providers. This role prepares occupancy and census reports for senior housing facilities, and processes and files annual CRPs for residents with the State of MN. Services are provided in accordance with the mission of Guardian Angels.
Job Duties:
- Process resident billing, payments, elderly waiver claims, and post complex county payments, as well as contractual adjustments to resident accounts, in a paperless environment.
- Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports and resolve account balances with Management.
- Communicate with counties and Managed Care Providers to secure elderly waiver service agreements.
- Process monthly resident ACH payments with the bank.
- Prepare journal entries and support the preparation of AR account reconciliations.
- Maintain company registrations and reporting with DHS and Managed Care Providers.
- Prepare occupancy and census reports for senior housing facilities.
- Process and file annual CRPs for residents with the State of MN.
- Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and sync them to the accounting software.
- Assist with annual audit support as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned and provide support for other accounting functions as needed.
- Uphold confidential information as required by Guardian Angels policy and procedure and as related to HIPAA.

Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- 2 Years of accounts receivable experience required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
- Strong ability to meet deadlines, with demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
