Your Role :
As an Aerial Emergency Medical Technician, you will provide vital patient care in line with GMR protocols and work closely with colleagues to cover necessary shifts. Your responsibilities will include :
Completing and submitting electronic patient care records for each flight within specified timeframesDelivering advanced life support care from the moment of patient contact until handover to the receiving facility, ensuring detailed patient documentationKeeping your skills sharp through continuous education and hands-on experiencesMaintaining all required certifications and documentation in the Employee Education ManualPossessing expertise in the routine maintenance of emergency medical equipmentFostering positive relationships with team members, hospital staff, and the communityParticipating as a medical team member during flightsEngaging in mission briefings and debriefings and handling essential documentationAssisting pilots with pre-mission checklists and ensuring safety compliance before takeoffProviding necessary safety briefings before flightsPerforming additional responsibilities as assignedQualifications for Success :
Experience :
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an Advanced Life Support (ALS) or critical care setting is requiredFlight experience is a plusEducation :
Valid EMT-P license / certification in the relevant states is mandatoryAHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required prior to gaining flight status; trauma certification must be obtained within 6 months of hirePreferred : Advanced Certification (FP-C), which must be achieved within 12 months of hireInstructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS / PEPP, and ITLS / PHTLS preferredNREMT-P certification may be required depending on the assigned areaPhysical Demands :
Willingness to shave facial hair if necessary to fit N95 masks is a must.Ability to perform gross and fine motor skills essential for safe and effective patient careCapability to lift and move up to 150 pounds with assistanceSpecific vision abilities necessary, including close, distant, and peripheral visionFlexibility in work schedule is essentialWhy Choose Guardian Flight?
