Medical Aviation Pilot - Guardian Flight
Join our team of dedicated professionals at Guardian Flight as a Medical Aviation Pilot and contribute to the safe transportation of patients in need.
As a key member of our medical transportation team, you will be responsible for operating a fixed-wing aircraft to transport patients between medical facilities.
Shifts are typically 2 weeks on/2 weeks off, with opportunities to fly day or night trips. Our pilots work in a dynamic, professional environment committed to delivering exceptional patient care and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Commercial Airplane Single Engine Land (C-ASEL) certification required, with willingness to obtain ATP within 5 years of employment.
- Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate.
- Valid driver's license.
- At least 2,500 total flight hours.
- 2,000 Fixed wing hours.
- 1,000 PIC hours.
- 500 cross country hours.
- 100 night hours.
- 75 instrument (50 actual) hours.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with medical experts to plan and execute patient transportation missions.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of flight records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, flight crews, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
- Participate in regular training and evaluation to maintain proficiency and adapt to changing circumstances.
Environmental Considerations:
- Exposure to diverse weather conditions.
- Possibility of exposure to extreme temperatures, turbulence, and other environmental factors.
Physical Expectations:
- Ability to lift and transfer patients, weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Capacity to handle physical demands of flying, including extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Good visual acuity, encompassing near and far vision, depth perception, and color vision.
