Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Critical Care Flight Nurse to join our team. As a Flight Nurse with Guardian Flight, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care in emergency situations, working closely with our flight crews, dispatch, and facilities to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor, and treat patients in critical care situations.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to manage critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patients and support physicians' orders.
- Work collaboratively with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners to provide safe and effective patient care.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders to ensure seamless care transitions.
Requirements
To be successful as a Flight Nurse with Guardian Flight, you must have:
- Minimum three years' experience in an emergency or critical care setting.
- Current RN licensure in the states served by the assigned area.
- EMT Certification in state(s) where required.
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications prior to flight status.
- Will be required to obtain trauma certification within six months of hire.
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
- A starting range of $92,000-$95,000 annually.
- $10,000 sign-on bonus payable in two installments following the end of training.
- Company-paid crew housing while on shift.
- A 3 days on/6 days off rotation schedule.
