Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our office by performing various administrative tasks. This position requires strong computer literacy, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Duties
- Perform general clerical duties, including filing, data entry, and document management.
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings for staff as needed.
- Operate phone systems to answer calls, direct inquiries, and provide information to clients or visitors.
- Assist in all office functions and processes including clerical, personnel, medical records, office machines, and payroll.
- Create, update and maintain physical and electronic files and records.
- Promotes compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills.
- Assist in scheduling meeting, appointments, and managing calendars.
- Monitor and order office and medical supplies to ensure adequate inventory.
- Perform additional clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, faxing documents.
- Promotes the Hospice philosophy and mission by presenting a positive image to customers.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an office clerk or in a similar administrative role.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Axxess.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with phone systems and professional communication etiquette.
- Attention to detail with strong proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in documentation.
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
