As an IT Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and providing exceptional technical support to our employees. The responsibilities include providing technical support and assistance to employees in the Jacksonville office and other extended locations. This role will involve setting up new workstations, maintaining IT equipment, resolving IT tickets, and performing various administrative tasks. Responsibilities:
- Configure new workstations and equipment with necessary software, hardware, and network connections.
- Coordinating with external service providers or vendors to procure technology products and services, or to address complex technical issues that require external support.
- Assign user accounts and permissions.
- Provide CRM and ongoing support to new hires throughout onboarding.
- Perform routine maintenance on IT equipment, such as hardware and software updates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with computers, printers, and network devices.
- Replace faulty components as needed.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets.
- Respond to and resolve IT support tickets submitted by employees.
- Prioritize and manage the ticket queue to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference.
- Provide remote technical support to employees at our extended offices.
- Assist with network connectivity, software installations, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Perform various administrative tasks, such as data backup, software licensing, and security updates.
- Assist with IT projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is often preferred for candidates applying for the position. However, individuals with certifications or relevant experience will also be considered.
- 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of Windows operating systems, network troubleshooting, and hardware maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with ticketing systems is a plus.
- Must be able to lift and move IT equipment.
