Job Purpose
The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing new business development leads, with a particular focus on engaging clients that have not yet worked with GRN. This role requires consultative, proactive sales activities directed at decision makers and decision influencers and will work closely with senior Business Development team members and GRN operational groups to generate presentations, proposals, and rebids.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop new client / account relationships to drive business opportunities, including :
Creating / adapting plans for new client engagement based on corporate objectives
Establishing and maintaining contact with decision-makers and influencers at potential GRN clients
Ensure assigned senior Business Development team members are adequately prepared to advance discussions with newly engaged clients
Assist with timely development of sales materials including presentation slides and proposals
Track sales activity in customer relationship management (CRM) system
Handle other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and at least three (3) years of experience in direct or indirect client account development in life sciences business segments such as RWE / RWD or clinical research
Proven track record of developing mid- and high-level business contacts leading to awarded projects
Solid understanding of RWE / RWD trends and needs
Demonstrated experience in identifying and developing sales leads and making professional presentations
Substantial experience collaborating with internal or external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines

Excellent interpersonal skills in order to effectively and appropriately engage internal and external contacts at all seniority levels
Ability to thrive as part of a fast-moving team to achieve deliverables
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to quickly learn new software applications
Strong organizational skills, including ability to manage multiple deliverables
Excellent office productivity skills, especially with MS office applications
Adaptability and flexibility
Ability to complete tasks independently, accurately, and within compressed timelines
Working conditions
Day shift with standard working hours (8AM - 5 PM), with occasional flexibility required as deadlines may warrant
Remote position - Corporate office and / or home office environment with regular computer and phone usage
