What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative / Dispatcher position at Guardian Security Systems, Inc.?
Our team is seeking individuals to work in our Central Station. The primary function of this position is to respond to alarm signals and support our customers and guard team throughout Alaska.
- Process alarms originating from security and fire reporting systems.
- Monitor radio traffic from on duty guards and assist them as needed.
- Communicate with business and residential customers and advise of system maintenance issues reported from their security or fire system.
- Provide positive customer care.
- Follow commercial fire code for all jurisdictions throughout Alaska.
- Occasional shift changes due to customer needs, emergencies and shift coverage may be required. Overtime is possible.
Qualified applicants will:
- Be available for training Monday-Friday during the day shift. ** Assigned shift upon training completion will depend on current shift openings.
- Attend weekly staff meetings.
- Be able to pass a national background check. Disqualifications are (but are not limited to): any felony charge, DUI/OUI, domestic violence or theft charge.
- Be able to pass a drug screening upon job offer and throughout employment (marijuana use is prohibited).
- Be familiar with Microsoft Windows and Office, and posess typing speed 40 wpm.
- Shift differential is available for evening/overnight shifts.
