POSITION SUMMARY:
This position oversees the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations to meet short and long-term goals of the organization. This position also oversees the planned giving program and prepares solicitation materials, including funding proposals and request letters; coordinates efforts to continuously inform, recognize and steward major donors.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop and provide parish education
2. Grant writing
3. Play lead role in soliciting and closing major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
3. Manage relationships with prospective donors and identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors and prospects to ensure positive and purposeful donor relations.
4. Working knowledge of best practices, emerging trends, tools, technologies and innovative approaches to individual major giving, corporate and foundation grants and planned giving initiatives.
5. Ensure comprehensive and accurate constituent, donor and prospective donor records
6. Cultivate and expand current giving by planned gift donors and integrate planned gift objectives into major individual donor requests.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
· Five to seven years of successful experience in major or planned gift fundraising preferably in a healthcare environment.
· Experience with Catholic Communities.
· Sincere passion for and understanding of the Guest House Mission, Vision and Values.
· Ability to understand the needs and interests of leadership and major gift donors to develop relationships.
· Knowledge and experience in fundraising techniques, particularly major gift fundraising.
· Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
