Job Summary
Serve guests in the caf by providing excellent service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and product presentation. Process transactions accurately, efficiently, and with a friendly demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests politely and answer questions about menu items.
- Take orders, ring up sales, and offer menu recommendations.
- Upsell guests when opportunities arise.
- Prepare food and drinks, deliver them to guests, and maintain store displays.
- Pull espresso shots, steam milk, mix coffee beverages, and serve alcoholic beverages responsibly.
Requirements
- Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn specialty coffees and other drinks.
- Strong sanitation habits and attention to detail.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Able to operate point of sale system, including cash register and credit card terminal.
Physical Demands
- Must be 21 years or older to serve alcohol.
- Frequent movement, bending, lifting, carrying, and standing for entire shift.
- Lift, carry, and push up to 10 lbs., 15-20 lbs., and occasionally up to 30 lbs.
