Essential Functions
- Greets guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor, answers questions, and provides information about menu items and the resort.
- Prepares and serves pre-packaged and ready-to-eat food items, as well as beverages including alcoholic drinks.
- Operates the point-of-sale (POS) system, processes transactions accurately, and handles end-of-shift cash reconciliation.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment, including dishwashing, sanitizing surfaces, and managing trash disposal.
- Stocks and replenishes snack bar items, assists in monitoring inventory levels, and communicates any supply needs to the supervisor.
- Follows all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assists with setting up and closing down the snack bar as needed.
- Maintains a professional and team-orientated attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
- TIPS Certification or ability to obtain and maintain, required.
- Previous experience in food service or customer service preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices.
- Strong customer service skills with a proactive approach to assisting guests.
- Ability to follow instructions and multitask efficiently.
- Computer proficiency with the ability to use common business software applications such as Microsoft Office.
- Ability to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system, including ability to consistently handle monetary transactions and end-of-day deposits.
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
- Lifting, carrying and pushing up to twenty-five (25) pound regularly, thirty (30) to thirty-five (35) pounds frequently, and up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand for the entire work day and to climb steps regularly.
- Withstanding temperature extremes in indoor and outdoor environments.
- Withstanding temperature extremes in freezer, refrigerator walk-in and grill areas.
- Consistently communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays according to department needs.
