Perform snow and ice removal including snow blowing, shoveling, applying salt, sand, and using an ice chipper to remove ice build-up on sidewalks and walkways, parking lots and common spaces. As well as a variety of other tasks assigned by the Facility Maintenance Supervisor.Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Snowblows, shovels, and removes ice from walking surfaces.
- Clears parking lots of snow utilizing plow trucks and skid loaders.
- Documents daily tasks by filling out snow removal logs.
- Removes snow from rooftops and around buildings.
- Empties outdoor garbage and recycling bins.
- Assists custodial staff with the sorting and disposal of recyclables.
- Occasionally assists mountain operations staff by helping give lift operators breaks or running a chairlift.
- All other tasks as assigned by the Facility Maintenance Supervisor.
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
- Must be at least 18 years old. Class D Driver
- 's license with no restrictions, clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Prior snow removal experience is preferred.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds infrequently. Ability to stand for the entire work day and to climb steps regularly.
- Withstanding temperature extremes in outdoor environments.
- Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
- Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees and guests in a fast-paced environment. Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.
- Able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays.
