Sunrise Lodge Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to manage the gift shop and food service operations at our lodge. This role involves providing exceptional guest service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and product presentation, controlling costs, and driving sales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and supervise staff to ensure efficient completion of tasks daily
• Assist in training and scheduling of staff
• Complete sales transactions accurately and efficiently, assist clerks as needed
• Maintain store displays through stock rotation, cleaning, and organizing
• Receive and verify inventory, organize and stock store, set displays
• Assist in maintenance of department records, including schedules, payroll, deposits, and cash reports

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• National Park gift shop and/or food service experience preferred
• Able to learn and use POS system, including computerized cash register and credit card terminal
• Possess or be able to complete ServSafe Manager and MAST/TIPS certifications

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Frequent movements from place to place, bending, lifting, carrying, reaching/extend arms and hands above shoulder height
• Lift, carry, and push up to 10 lbs regularly, 15-20 lbs frequently, and up to 30 lbs occasionally
• Able to stand for extended periods, climb stairs regularly
• Speech recognition and clarity, ability to understand guests and coworkers, speak clearly in English
