What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day and strategic content with external social media vendors, multimedia team, and ad hoc requests from the organization.
- Handle social media suite and keep up with analytics and reporting to inform best practices and strategy.
- Create compelling, original, and on-brand content for various marketing channels, including emails, website content, paid ads, social media posts, emergency communications, presentations, articles, testimonials, brochures, and more.
- Foster interdepartmental relationships with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to facilitate efficient and effective content development.
- Provide support to the manager of content marketing by reviewing and editing for accuracy, style, voice, grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, and GuideStone writing standards.
- Manage editorial projects from conception through distribution.
- Maintain a working knowledge of AP Stylebook, GuideStone Writing Standards, GuideStone Messaging Standards, and our proofreading solutions.
- Support and write for enterprise-level projects, such as the annual Minister’s Tax Guide and the GuideStone Magazine.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, journalism, public relations, business, or a related field.
- Industry experience in financial services, investments, retirement, or insurance is preferred.
- Must be an active member of a Southern Baptist or faith-aligned church.
- Experience writing creative content for articles, emails, direct mail, websites, video, print campaigns, and events, with SEO best practices in mind as applicable.
- Experience writing for and managing a social media suite.
- Working knowledge of common style books, with intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Associated Press preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, with familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong project management and collaborative skills.
- Ability to travel up to 5% annually.
- Must maintain complete confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters.
