JOB DESCRIPTION: MILLWORK OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
SUMMARY: The Millworks Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the millwork department, ensuring the smooth flow of inventory, managing warehouse staff, and coordinating with multiple teams to ensure timely processing and delivery of orders. This position reports to the Millwork Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following: (other duties may be assigned)
- Lead and manage dock and warehouse staff to ensure efficient unloading, staging, and organization of incoming millwork products.
- Create tickets for vendor order processing, enter and place orders for windows and doors, and ensure that all relevant documentation for delivery is generated and printed.
- Monitor and follow up on the lead times of existing orders, ensuring timely deliveries according to the estimated delivery dates.
- Maintain continuous communication with the sales team regarding millwork orders, ensuring accurate updates and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Delivery Coordinator to schedule and track Millwork deliveries.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to manage vendor accounts, track payments/credits, and balance accounts.
- Assist in inventory management / ordering of stock product
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the day-to-day operations pertaining to Millwork Warehouse, all incoming and outgoing deliveries, Bistrack receiving, Inventory management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A minimum of High School diploma or GED is required; 4-year college degree preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in millwork or similar field. Two to three years in a sales-driven environment and/or management experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The individual must have strong business management skills and a background in customer service. Knowledge of inventory management, budgetary procedure and documentation is a must. General knowledge of the fenestration industry is preferred. Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, time management and negotiation skills. Experience with Bistrack is strongly preferred.
The individual must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as database management systems.
Valid Driver’s license
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bilingual in Spanish and English is not a requirement, but is preferred.
