Job Supervisory Responsibilities: Quality Improvement Clinical Analyst and Clinical Outcomes Specialist
General Summary: Team Lead: A non-exempt position responsible for identifying, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating clinical quality improvement (QI) activities and providing related consulting and support services. Supervisor is an exempt position.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Participates: in strategic and operational planning to ensure quality care.
Coordinates: the principles and values of continuous quality improvement (CQI) throughout the medical practice. Ensures that CQI efforts comply with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Collaborates: with IT and Practice Administrator to ensure data systems and programs satisfactorily support CQI activities, including maintaining QI tracking systems and database.
Consults: with clinicians, administrator, and QI teams on CQI activities such as chart reviews and accurate and complete documentation and coding, providing technical support and staff education as necessary.
Ensures: the gathering and analysis of QI data from every clinical department, converts data into statistics for analysis. Provides feedback in person and via reports to departments on trends and needed corrective actions. Leads QI committee, which regularly reviews QI data and prepares annual QI report. Resolves any patient complaints related to quality of care.
Identifies: QI opportunities, recognizes QI achievements, and recommends QI plan for next year.
May help select, train, monitor, and evaluate department staff.
Education: Associate degree in health administration, science, or nursing. Bachelor's degree in health administration, science, or nursing. Master’s degree in health administration, science, or nursing for supervisor/management track.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in health care setting including 1 year of management/QI experience.
Other Requirements: Current CMA, RMA, LPN, RN or other clinical license recommended.
Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
Knowledge of PCMH, QI philosophy, models, processes, and tools and their use in a health care setting. Familiarity with ways to maintain with state-of-the-art QA and regulatory trends.
Knowledge of National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) structure and standards, Healthplan Employer Data and Information Set (HEDIS) requirements, and any accreditation standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.00 per week
