Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality welding courses that meet the needs of students and industry partners.
- Stay current with industry developments and best practices in welding education.
- Collaborate with industry partners to ensure relevancy of the curriculum.
Requirements
- Diploma in Welding Technology from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution or the equivalent.
- Current welding certifications (obtained or held within the past 5 years) e.g. Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
- Three years of recent and relevant industry experience as a welder.
- Experience welding to American Welding Society certification standards.
- Experience with oxy fuel cutting and other thermal cutting processes.
- Experience with visual inspection of welds to a code or standard.
