This role will play a crucial part in driving our business expansion, identifying new opportunities, and fostering relationships that accelerate growth.

Position Overview:

As the Sales and Business Development Associate, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and nurturing relationships with key clients, and leading initiatives that promote business growth. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure that sales targets are met and exceeded while enhancing customer satisfaction and building a strong market presence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Growth: Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients, expand existing relationships, and meet/exceed sales targets.
  • Business Development: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including partnerships, joint ventures, and market expansion.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new trends, customer needs, and competitor activity. Provide actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Lead Generation & Qualification: Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing deals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans aimed at expanding market share and increasing revenue.
  • Sales Reporting: Regularly track, analyze, and report on sales performance, key metrics, and business development activities.
  • Collaboration: Work with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure smooth transitions from sales to delivery and maximize client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven track record in sales and business development
  • Strong ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience in [Industry/Field] is a plus.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and MS Office Suite (or equivalent software).
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in leading sales teams or initiatives.
  • Ability to create and present comprehensive sales proposals.
  • Strong understanding of market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Previous experience working with local municipalities
