AVDG and GCPro headline the enterprise audio-visual integration business, delivering a best-in-class commercial and residential customer experience.About the Role : The Guitar Center is looking for a Senior Retail Applications Engineer with expertise in Multivalue and Pick Basic software engineering and deep experience of retail, omnichannel POS, microservices, APIs, cloud technologies.Responsibilities : Provide systems development lifecycle functions an analysis, architecture, design, software development (including coding, testing, documentation, and implementation), and maintenance of both new and existing software applications. Provide database management functions, and responsible for data integrity of all the relevant databases.Responsible for tracking / reporting of time spent on projects or tasks and communicating this information to supervisor.Support application interfaces to / from AIX servers.Provide mentoring, leadership to other developers and support staff in project execution.Provide on-call support functions as needed.Provide additional support functions in terms of monitoring critical application processes, schedule processes, and user processes.Responsible for self-managing delivery of assigned tasks.Job RequirementsJob Requirements : Experience in architecture, design, development and support of Universe / Pick / Multi-value applications.Experience in database administration and support of Universe or other Multi-value databases.Working experience in UNIX, AIX, LINUX operating systems environments.Experience in and knowledge of AIX / UNIX basic commands.Experience in and knowledge of Rocket External Database Access (EDA) and Rocket Replication subsystems.2 years working experience using UniObjectsProven track record of project delivery and solutions designs.Preferred Experience : 4 years experience working in Retail POS systems.Knowledge of Payment system interfaces for credit card processing.Working experience in programming, coding in support of POS peripherals and other devices such as printers.Versed in multiple development languages is preferred.Working knowledge of Java, C, C# is a plus.Pay range : The job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, nor a promise of any specific pay for any specific employee, which is always dependent on actual experience, education, and other factors.
