Summary
The HR Marketing intern will work closely with the HR team to assist in various projects including internal and external communications, creating informational documents that capture the target audience attention, logistical operations of events, and preparing and supporting the company’s Auction in August program.
Local candidates strongly preferred with the possibility to remain as an Intern through the Summer and Fall semester based on eligibility and satisfactory performance.
Responsibilities
- Audit HRIS information and HR processes for compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Work with managers to make needed changes to data found in audit.
- Organize information from surveys and focus groups to make recommendations on changes or enhancements to HR programs.
- Prepare for and organize upcoming events.
- Prepare for and execute the company’s major annual giving campaign, Auctions in August.
- Assist in designing marketing material for recruitment efforts and new hire orientation.
- Assist in creating employee guides and drafting internal communication.
- Performs other duties and special projects as needed.
Requirements
Skills/Experience/Education
- Minimum preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.
- Human Resources, Labor Relations, and Marketing Majors preferred.
- Be a highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Possesses critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.

Essential Mental & Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions.
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
- Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
- Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 15 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division any “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
