WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Site Coordinator is a non-exempt position responsible for developing and planning unique, effective, and comprehensive strategies for the implementation and teaching of the Second Step Curriculum through small group instruction and teacher/parent training where applicable. The Site Coordinator works with families to build their naturally supportive networks which include providing links to formal (community providers) and informal (family, friends, neighbors, church, school, etc.) resources, serves as a liaison for an assigned list of families, and communicates effectively and regularly with parents, teachers and administrators concerning the students progress.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Oversees Social Emotional Learning Specialists
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide Second Step Curriculum through group instruction in an after-school setting to elementary age youth with goals of increasing pro-social skills and decreasing bullying behaviors
- Establish strong and positive relationships as an advocate and liaison for students, families and school personnel
- Develop a co-working plan with Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Specialists to ensure students receive all necessary and required daily support
- Ensure concise and timely completion of all paperwork and documentation, including obtaining parent consent forms, and collecting demographic information
- Provide information, referrals, and assistance in locating appropriate childrens or family resources in the community
- Provide quality services and maintain desired productivity level as defined by the Program Manager in accordance with the service levels and measurable objectives required by the Childrens Board of Hillsborough County (these will be determined at the start of each school year)
- Perform all other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Bachelors degree, required, plus a minimum of one (1) year direct experience with youth
- Must have the ability to develop creative strategies for teaching in small groups
- Must communicate effectively with children and parents and school personnel
- Must complete the Second Step training and receive the certification
- Must have a valid drivers' license with current auto insurance coverage
