Position Summary: The primary role of all employees is to support the mission of the company and ensure successful outcomes for the customer we serve. CPT Case Coordinators are trained as forensic experts in child abuse and neglect. They assist Department of Children and Families and Law Enforcement agencies with investigations into abuse allegations by conducting forensic interviews of children, specialized interviews of family members, and assisting CPT medical providers with physical examinations of children. Case Coordinators function as part of a multi-disciplinary team and participate in all staffings and team activities related to cases to which they are assigned.
Qualifications

Education and/or experience: A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or other behavioral science. At least two years of post-bachelor experience working with children and their families, with one year of that experience involving work with abused and neglected children. Must be able to secure Level II background clearance at the time of hire and every 5 years thereafter.
Language skills: Must have excellent speaking skills. This position requires the ability to speak with tact and influence in a multi-disciplinary setting as well as in the provision of court testimony and depositions. Must be able to conduct videotaped interviews with children while being observed by multi-disciplinary team members.
Mathematical skills: Basic mathematical skills required for social service delivery.
Reasoning Ability: Judgment and reasoning are key requirements of Case Coordinators. The position requires the ability to make accurate assessment of child safety based on known information and to exercise good judgment in making service recommendations. Must be able to assess risk in terms of imminent risk and risk of future maltreatment. Position requires the ability to interpret and apply standard company policies.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to navigate internet based applications and enter data into a database system. CPT is primarily a paperless system and the position requires that employees are comfortable with the use of technology and willing to learn how to use new systems when necessary.
Physical Demands: This work requires substantial periods time sitting and typing reports. Must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment: Work environment is primarily confined to offices within a CAC. Must work in close proximity with co-workers, often within shared space. Work requires frequent contact with child physical and sexual abuse victims. Must be willing to assist with and photograph evidence related to sexual abuse examinations and evidence collection. Must be comfortable using terminology that is not standard in most work environments. Must be comfortable working with diverse populations and non-traditional families.
Travel: Limited local travel related to responding to calls at medical facilities and attending community meetings. Case Coordinators may also be asked to deliver services at satellite locations throughout the region based on work load needs. Must be able to travel out of the area for 40 hours of forensic interview training within first 6 months of hire. Other out of area may be required if requested by contract manager. Use of personal vehicle is reimbursed according to current company policy.
Work Hours: Office hours are Monday- Friday 8:00 – 5:00 with flexibility related to case requirements. Must be able to pull overnight, weekend and holiday on-call rotations in accordance with the needs of the team. All salaried employees to work a minimum 80 hours per 2-week pay period. Additional hours may be required to complete job duties.

Work Product: Complete a minimum of 32 assessments per quarter or 12 per calendar month.
1. Demonstrate the ability to receive referrals from Department of Children and Families and law enforcement and complete case staffing to include triage, documentation (Access and CPTIS) and scheduling, assigning and opening case. In the absence of clinical coordinator, case coordinators should demonstrate the willingness and ability to meet this need to include staffing for referral and exception.
2. Provide crisis counseling for victims and secondary victims.
3. Demonstrate the ability to gather critical information from caregivers and family members in a thorough and objective fashion in a specialized interview, allowing for a complete review of risks, strengths and protective capacities.
4. Demonstrate the ability to interview children in a forensic setting.
5. Demonstrate the ability to assist medical providers with examinations. This includes providing medical providers with required documents at time of examination.
6. Provide referrals for diagnostic testing and ensuring results are received and maintained in case file. This may include notifying representatives to ensure access to these services.
7. Demonstrate the ability to photograph child victims in order to document injuries and implement most recent training techniques.
8. Demonstrate the ability to coordinate and facilitate multidisciplinary team staffings.
9. Demonstrate the ability to participate in other agency staffings as well as medical neglect staffings.
10. Demonstrate the ability to coordinate psychological evaluations while ensuring all required information is provided to the team psychologist in a timely manner.
11. Demonstrate the ability to provide court testimony which includes adequate preparation and consultation with attorneys as needed.
12. Full-fill on-call responsibilities to ensure equal distribution between eligible Case Coordinators that will include a minimum of two to three weekend nights (not to be limited to Sunday nights only) and rotating holidays.

Work Product:
1. 90% of all CPT assessments will be completed within 20 days of initiation unless there is a documented Reason for Delay (RFD).
2. 95% of positive findings on ALL assessments will be communicated to the CPI within 24 hours and documented appropriately in the chronological record.
3. 90% of all assessment reports will be sent to Program Supervisor or designee within 5 working days (15 days for psychosocial assessments). 98% of assessment reports will be sent to CPI and/or LE within 10 working days (20 days for psychosocial assessments).
4. 100% of cases will have follow up tasks completed as noted in supervisory review. As case concerns arise, all cases should be brought to supervisory level attention.
5. 100% of all CPT assessments that that are completed in a face to face manner on children ages 3 and under must include a Developmental Checklist. Necessary referral procedure will occur within 48 hours if a deficit is noted.
6. 100% of case logs will be kept up to date.
7. 100% of assessment reports and supporting documentation will be uploaded to CPTIS in a timely manner.
8. 100% of case progress notes will be entered into CPTIS within 48 hours of assessment date/time.
9. Caseload report will show cases open longer than 45 days less than statewide average.
10. Caseload report will show cases open longer than 60 days less than statewide average.
FINANCE:

1. Submit and approve time sheets no later than midnight on Fridays marking the end of a pay period.
2. Submit accurate VOCA Timesheets no later than noon on Mondays following the end of a pay period.
3. Submit travel vouchers and local mileage no later than the third working day of the month for the previous month.
4. Provide appropriate documentation (i.e. insurance cards, Sexual Battery Claim Forms, and preliminary findings forms) as required.
