Job Description:
Gulf Coast Medical Center is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resource Coordinator to support the daily operations of our HR department. This role is responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing, onboarding new employees, managing terminations, benefits administration, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and communication skills, experience with HR processes, and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
- Coordinate new employee onboarding, including paperwork, orientation, and training scheduling.
- Manage employee terminations, including exit interviews, final payroll processing, and compliance with labor laws.
- Maintain and update employee records in HR systems and personnel files.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
- Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, interview scheduling, and pre-employment screenings.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Address employee questions and concerns regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in performance management, training coordination, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Provide administrative support to the HR leadership team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Required: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Preferred: HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) or experience in a healthcare setting.
- 2 years of experience in HR or administrative roles.
- Experience with payroll processing systems and HR software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
