What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor position at Gulf Coast Social Services - HOUMA?
The Gulf Coast Social Services is in search of janitorial and maintenance support to the Houma Region Administrative building. The Janitor will assist with the upkeep and maintenance of the building, maintains office in a clean and orderly fashion, maintain outside appearance of building grounds as directed by supervisor. Provide basic maintenance support when requested. Assist with the purchase / pickup of office supplies.
The position requires the ability to read, write, and to understand and follow directions. The ability to bend, stoop, stand, reach, push and possess the physical stamina required for the cleaning and maintenance of the building. Must have the qualities of dependability, flexibility, and thoroughness. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Applicant must pass Criminal Record Background Check and LA Motor Vehicle Record Check, have a valid Driver’s License, current auto liability insurance, and have access to a reliable vehicle in a safe operating condition with current inspection stickers. EOE
