Job Summary:
Gulf Island Fabrication seeks a highly skilled Offshore Rope Access Level II Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising, planning, and executing rope access operations on offshore platforms.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead rope access technicians in advanced inspections, maintenance, repairs, blasting, painting, and rigging tasks on offshore platforms
- Develop and implement rope access work plans and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment
- Adhere to safety procedures, including proper equipment inspection, fall protection measures, and communication protocols
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of rope access operations with overall project objectives
- Mentor and supervise Level I Rope Access Technicians under the supervision of a Level III Rope Access Technician
Requirements:
- Active SPRAT or IRATA Level II Certification
- Advanced theoretical knowledge of rope access equipment and techniques
- Ability to work at heights and in a team environment
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response protocols
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Pass background check
- Valid TWIC card
