Job Description
The Offshore Rope Access Level III Technician plays a crucial role in the safe execution of rope access operations on offshore platforms. This position requires a high level of expertise in rope access techniques, as well as strong leadership and supervisory skills to oversee a team of technicians.
The ideal candidate will possess an active SPRAT or IRATA Level III Certification, advanced theoretical knowledge of rope access equipment and techniques, and the ability to work at heights. They must also be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen, as well as a background check.
The job involves using rope access techniques to perform and lead rope access technicians in advanced inspections, maintenance, repairs, blasting, painting and rigging on offshore platforms. The technician must develop and implement rope access work plans and risk assessments, adhere to safety procedures, and coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of rope access operations with overall project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor Level I and Level II Rope Access Technicians
- Develop and implement rope access work plans and risk assessments
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of rope access operations
- Conduct on-site safety briefings and training sessions for team members
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and inventory
