Gulf Island Fabrication is seeking an experienced Offshore Rope Access Level III Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and successful completion of rope access projects.
Job Description
- Main Purpose: The Offshore Rope Access Level III Supervisor will safely supervise, plan, and execute rope access operations on offshore platforms.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Use advanced rope access techniques to perform and lead rope access technicians in inspections, maintenance, repairs, blasting, painting, and rigging tasks.
- Develop and implement rope access work plans and risk assessments.
- Adhere to safety procedures, including proper equipment inspection, fall protection measures, and communication protocols.
- SUPERVISE AND MENTOR LEVEL I AND II ROPE ACCESS TECHNICIANS.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of rope access operations with overall project objectives.
- Conduct on-site safety briefings and training sessions for team members.
- Prepare detailed reports of all work performed, including any issues or incidents.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and inventory.
- IDentify and remove damaged rope access equipment.
- IDentify and mitigate potential hazards in the work environment, ensuring a safe and compliant worksite.
- Maintain climbing logbook per SPRAT/IRATA guidelines.
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for rope access work.
